In early 2025, a critical DraftKings reverse proxy application was migrated from arcane, creaky, Windows-only technology to a modern .NET Core-based solution running in Linux containers on Kubernetes. In just six months, the application leapt forward by decades of technological advancement.

The application was deployed with zero downtime to dozens of locations, spanning many datacenters and multi-region cloud environments. Through planning and precise execution, the team rolled out the new system disruption-free — during the company’s busiest season.
