High-load .NET systems don’t usually fail because of one big mistake—they slow down because of many small ones.

This talk shows how seemingly harmless code can turn into a serious performance and cost problem under load.

Using a real case, we’ll dig into the root cause and iteratively fix it. Along the way, we’ll cover common pitfalls and practical techniques, such as memoization, to avoid a high allocation rate.
We’ll also look at how code generation can hide the complexity, making low-allocation patterns practical without adding significant boilerplate.
