The REWE Group is pushing ahead with its digital business models. With the establishment of the technology startup “paymenttools” based in Cologne, the company is developing its own B2B payment platform for merchants and partners.

As the first grocery retailer in Germany, the REWE Group will in the future be able to offer “payment tools” not only for digital and stationary shopping for groceries and travel but also for the complete handling of the payment process in stationary and digital shopping from a single source. What you will do:

• Providing continuous feedback regarding the fulfillment of tasks and team/personal development
• Securing and supporting transparency and information flow between all stakeholders and software engineers
• Hire, develop, and retain exceptional talent through recognition of needs and implementation of measures for fulfilling these
• Help design, manage to and report regularly on OKRs that measure team performance against organisational objectives
• Support growth and sustainability by developing the individuals. Coach team members to progress career goals and develop personal qualities
• Represent the teams in the larger organisation and establish good communication with tribe leadership and the executive level of the company

What we are looking for:

• Proven software development experience
• Distinguished track record in software development with experience working on technically demanding projects
• 3+ years experience of coordination or additional responsibility taking in Engineering
• Deep knowledge of software development and software craftsmanship
• Experience in coaching and developing individuals
• Ability to present and communicate complex ideas and features to a broad audience effectively

Any of the following is a plus:

• Ideally, experience in interdisciplinary management of teams in an agile software delivery environment
• First relevant experience in managing and working with a geographically dispersed workforce
• Knowledge of situational leadership models
