Our client is a well-established telecommunications and IT services provider with nearly 30 years of experience delivering international connectivity, data center, cloud, network, and cybersecurity solutions. With a team of around 180 professionals in Bulgaria and a strong international presence, the company operates its own global network infrastructure and serves customers across Europe and beyond.

As they continue to expand their radio and satellite operations, they are looking for a Satellite Engineer to join their specialized engineering team.

Radio & Satellite Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the design, implementation, upgrade, and maintenance of radio, satellite, and telecommunications systems and equipment.
• Build, maintain, and further develop the company’s DVB platforms.
• Maintain and perform preventive maintenance on microwave and satellite transmission systems.
• Diagnose, measure, and resolve technical issues using specialised test equipment.
• Work on technical solutions and participate in the delivery of complex engineering projects.
• Ensure the reliability and uninterrupted operation of the radio and satellite services Neterra provides worldwide.
• Perform on-site work, including business trips within Bulgaria.

Requirements:

• University degree in Telecommunications, Radio Communications, Electronics, or a related technical field, or currently pursuing a relevant degree.
• Previous experience in telecommunications, radio, satellite, microwave, RF, or broadcast/DVB environments.
• Good understanding of satellite communication technologies, including satellite antennas, receiving/transmitting equipment, and signal transmission.
• Good understanding of radio and microwave transmission systems, including their installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, including the use of technical measurement and test equipment.
Basic knowledge of Ethernet and IP technologies.
• Ability to work in a Linux environment and use the command line for basic technical troubleshooting.
• Experience with DVB equipment and platforms, including multiplexers, encoders, and receivers, would be considered an advantage.
• Strong technical curiosity, problem-solving mindset, and willingness to learn new technologies and equipment.
• Fluent in English.
