Presales Engineer – IT Infrastructure & Cloud Solutions

As we expand our infrastructure and cloud portfolio, we are looking for an experienced Presales Engineer to join our team in Sofia.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Sales team technically by identifying customer needs and translating business requirements into the right technology solutions.
• Design and propose IT infrastructure solutions covering servers, storage, virtualization, backup, networking, and cloud.
• Prepare technical architectures, hardware and software configurations, Bills of Materials (BOM), and solution documentation.
• Develop technical proposals and take part in RFI, RFQ, RFP, and tender processes, ensuring compliance with customer requirements.
• Work with vendors and distributors to validate configurations and secure competitive commercial conditions.
• Prepare and validate pricing calculations, cost estimates, and technical specifications for proposals and contracts.
• Present and justify proposed solutions in customer meetings and technical discussions, together with the Sales team.
• Work with internal technical and delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and implemented successfully.
• Monitor market developments, technology trends, and vendor portfolios to identify new business opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• At least 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, or technical presales.
• Strong knowledge of servers, storage, virtualization, and backup solutions.
• Familiarity with leading vendors such as HPE, Dell Technologies, Lenovo, VMware by Broadcom, Microsoft, and Veeam, or equivalents.
• Good understanding of networking, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
• Experience preparing technical proposals, hardware configurations, BOMs, and tender documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex business requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a customer-oriented and commercially aware mindset.
• Excellent command of Bulgarian and English, written and spoken.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team in a dynamic environment.

Nice to Have

• Vendor or cloud certifications (e.g., HPE, Dell Technologies, Lenovo, VMware by Broadcom, Microsoft, and Veeam etc.)
• Experience with public-sector tenders and public procurement in Bulgaria.
