Project Manager Senior

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a large-scale enterprise data platform built on Databricks.

This is a client facing role where you’ll take ownership of delivery across planning, execution, quality, budget, and stakeholder management. You’ll work closely with architects, engineering teams, business analysts, and senior client stakeholders to ensure the platform continues to deliver reliable business value while supporting future growth.

The platform is already in production and supports business reporting, analytics, and planning across multiple business domains. As the platform evolves, the focus is on improving scalability, optimizing platform costs, strengthening data quality, and delivering new capabilities through a well-defined roadmap.

Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end delivery of the enterprise data platform, including scope, planning, budget, timelines, quality, and client communication.
• Drive delivery across distributed Data Engineering, BI, and Business Analysis teams.
• Collaborate with engineering and architecture leads to improve platform efficiency and optimize consumption-based infrastructure costs.
• Ensure strong delivery governance, including backlog management, change control, Definition of Ready, Definition of Done, and clear documentation of requirements.
• Work closely with client architects and technical stakeholders to review solution designs, discuss architectural decisions, and resolve complex delivery challenges.
• Support high standards of data quality, reconciliation, and reliability across multiple data sources.
• Manage delivery risks, dependencies, and priorities while maintaining transparency with stakeholders.
• Own roadmap planning and execution, ensuring predictable and successful delivery of platform enhancements.
• Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders and contribute to the long-term growth of the engagement.

What success looks like

Within the first several months you will:

• Help improve platform stability and data reliability.
• Establish predictable delivery processes and transparent project governance.
• Improve visibility into platform costs and help the client understand cost drivers.
• Strengthen collaboration with client architecture and business teams.
• Deliver roadmap milestones on schedule while maintaining high quality standards.

Requirements

We’re looking for someone who has:

• 10+ years of experience in Delivery or Project Management, including ownership of large-scale BI, Data Platform, or Data Engineering programs.
• Proven experience managing end-to-end project delivery, including scope, budget, timelines, quality, and stakeholder management.
• Experience delivering enterprise data platforms built on Databricks or similar technologies such as Snowflake or Google BigQuery.
• Good understanding of modern data engineering concepts, including ETL/ELT pipelines, incremental loading, semantic or dimensional data modeling, data quality, and lineage.
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms and orchestration tools such as Airflow, dbt, or similar.
• Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working directly with senior business and technical leaders.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments using Jira or similar project management tools.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional distributed teams across Engineering, Business Analysis, and BI.
• English level: C1 or higher, with confidence communicating directly with international clients and leading meetings.

Nice to have:

• Experience in Consumer Goods, Manufacturing, Retail, Healthcare, or other data-intensive industries.
• Familiarity with Salesforce, SAP, Microsoft ecosystem, or Power BI.
• Previous experience working within Databricks or SAP partner ecosystems.
• Experience delivering semantic data models or AI-ready data platforms.
• Exposure to AI, forecasting, anomaly detection, or analytical use cases built on enterprise data platforms.
• Experience working alongside multiple vendors in complex enterprise environments.

Technology landscape

The platform is built primarily on Databricks, with modern cloud infrastructure and orchestration tooling. Data is integrated from systems such as Salesforce, SAP, and Microsoft solutions, with Power BI used for reporting and analytics. The platform also includes a semantic layer designed to support future AI and advanced analytics initiatives.
