Senior Test Specialist

On behalf of our client — an established international IT consultancy firm with a strong presence across Europe (including Luxembourg, Belgium, Bulgaria, and Greece) — we are looking for an experienced Senior Test Specialist to join their growing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Execution & Automation: Perform manual and automated testing including functional, acceptance, integration, regression, system, cross-browser, and API testing.
•  QA Leadership & Mentorship: Lead the QA team in designing advanced test procedures, troubleshooting quality issues, and guiding junior team members.
•  Documentation & Analysis: Analyze product specification documentation, conduct initial test analysis, and draft/review QA documents and test scripts.
•  Cross-functional Collaboration: Liaise effectively with analysis, development, technical authors, and support staff, as well as external stakeholders and business customers.
•  Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to and support other test team members to build a strong departmental knowledge base.

Mandatory Requirements

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree (Level 6 EQF) in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
•  Combined post-secondary education and work experience of at least 9 years.
•  At least 6 years of hands-on experience in Software Testing (manual & automated).
•  Certifications: ISTQB Test Manager Certificate (or equivalent).
•  QA Tools & Automation: Extensive experience using TestComplete, SpecFlow, Selenium WebDriver, REST Assured, JUnit, and Jenkins CI.
•  Methodologies: Proficient in Agile / Scrum methodologies.
•  Languages: Command of English at C1 level (both written and spoken).
•  Security & Background: Clean Criminal Record / ability to pass security clearance checks.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in projects handling personal data (EU data protection standards/GDPR).
•  Practical testing experience within Law Enforcement or public sector organizations.
•  Familiarity with Java / JEE or Angular / JavaScript environments.
•  Experience with databases such as SQL, PostgreSQL, or MSSQL.
• Experience delivering technical presentations or trainings in English.
