*The event will be in English
This event is part of the Blockchain user group.
AGENDA:
Blockchain applications are often presented as decentralized, but many still depend on centralized hosting, DNS, cloud providers, app stores, and traditional infrastructure.
This talk explores the hidden centralization problem in Web3 and the trade-offs involved in building systems that are actually peer-to-peer.
We’ll examine why so many “decentralized” apps still rely on AWS, what happens when centralized infrastructure becomes a point of failure, and the trade-offs around performance, scalability, onboarding, and user experience.
The session will also include a live demo of Qortal, an open-source decentralized infrastructure platform, as a real-world example of something built completely outside the normal internet.
