Даниел Стратиев
Global CIO
За лектора
Daniel is a true global citizen whose personal and professional journey spans continents
and cultures. Born in Sofia, Bulgaria, he spent his formative years in Africa, living four
years in Nigeria and two in Mozambique. Although he has called the United States
home for the past 33 years, Daniel’s career has taken him across dozens of countries
worldwide, including a two-year expatriate assignment in Mexico.
This early immersion in diverse cultures and languages shaped Daniel’s global
perspective and helped define his career path in information technology and senior
leadership. Over more than twenty five years, he has built deep expertise in the
consumer packaged goods and life sciences industries, leading large-scale technology
and business transformation initiatives across manufacturing, supply chain, and
enterprise operations. His work consistently bridges the intersection of operations,
systems, and strategy to deliver measurable business outcomes.
In his current role as Global CIO at Trident Seafoods, Daniel leads end-to-end enterprise transformation across supply chain, manufacturing, finance, ERP, and core digital platforms. Most notably, he successfully delivered a global SAP S/4HANA
implementation spanning North America, Europe, and Asia.
Previously, Daniel held senior leadership roles at Abbott Laboratories, Smithfield Foods,
Kraft Foods, Philip Morris, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Across these
organizations, he led complex ERP and supply chain transformation programs, optimized technology portfolios, and aligned enterprise applications, data, and
processes within highly scaled, global operating environments.
A lifelong learner, Daniel brings a strong academic foundation, having earned a
bachelor’s degree in Economics, Spanish, and International Business from Augustana
College, an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the Kellogg School of Management,
and a Master’s degree in Information Systems from Northwestern University.
