Kris Paruch is the founder of Token Engineering Labs, a Vienna-based engineering firm for cryptoeconomic systems. He designs and validates market mechanisms from formal specification and simulation through to working smart contracts. His work spans prediction markets, automated market makers, DeFi market infrastructure, and token engineering.
Kris initiated the token engineering research stream at WU Vienna’s Research Institute for Cryptoeconomics, is a co-author of the ACM Computing Surveys systematization of automated market maker protocols, and has taught at WU Vienna, the UZH Blockchain Center, and the Token Engineering Academy. He combines research with hands-on prototyping, including public prediction-market and secondary-market systems.
His main interests include censorship resistance, digital sovereignty, decentralized applications, and building systems that reduce dependence on centralized platforms and cloud providers.
