About the Unit

The newly established function, Yara Farming Solutions, will lead the transformation towards more sustainable and efficient food production, by innovating our offering and the way we work.

Crop and Digital Solutions is responsible for developing and scaling new “on-farm” digital and integrated tools and solutions, which will work toward driving a more efficient and transparent food system.

About the Team

API&Services Team – we are responsible for developing common APIs and services for digital farming products. Currently, the team is focusing on developing Field Profile API to expose a single source of storing and managing agronomy fields and related data: weather, soil, satellite imagery, irrigation, water, recommendation and so on. Additionally, the team is responsible for developing and maintaining Admin back-office apps.

Responsibilities

You can/will:

• Work on the forefront of building digital products for agriculture
• Work within an international product team with a product manager, designers, and other developers to create solutions and apps focused on our customers’ needs.
• Participate in the full life cycle of a product, from early-stage rapid prototyping through to full market release and continuous improvement after the initial launch.
• Develop back end components of scalable apps and solutions
• Build scalable microservices running on a public cloud provider
• Help, support and collaborate with other engineers in the team and other solutions
• Work with Agronomists to improve our algorithms and services

• Forest Admin, AdminJS

You have:

• 3+ years of relevant experience in the software engineering area.
• Experience with Java and Spring framework ecosystem (or NodeJS/NestJs ecosystem), particularly with microservices running on a public cloud provider.
• Experience with SQL-DB (e.g. PostgreSQL), and optionally NoSql Databases
• Experience with AWS or any other public cloud providers, Docker and/or Kubernetes
• Practical knowledge of unit and integration tests
• Experience working in a cross-functional team
• Full English proficiency (written and spoken skills)
