Here’s what you’ll need to succeed:

    • Knowledge of algorithms for global and local path planning – A*, D*, RRT, etc.
    • Strong understanding of ROS/ROS2 and NVIDIA Isaac ROS packages
    • Experience with path planning, optimization and navigation packages like NAV2 for ROS, OMPL
    • Knowledge of 3D transformations using homogeneous coordinates, quaternions and Euler angles
    • Strong foundations in applied mathematics, linear algebra and geometry
    • Basic understanding of the kinematics and dynamcis of flying robots
    • Proficiency in working with version control systems like Git and GitHub

The following will be considered a plus

    • Experience with visual servoing control algorithms for autonomous robots
    • Experience with algorithms for autonomous exploration
    • Experience with collision avoidance algorithms
    • Experience in working with open-source computer vision libraries like PCL and OpenCV
    • Familiarity with the NVIDIA Isaac ROS NVBLOX package
    • Experience with NVIDIA Isaac Sim, Gazebo or AirSim for testing navigation algorithms in virtual environments
    • Experience in deploying navigation algorithms on edge devices like NVIDIA Jetson, Raspberry Pi, FPGA or STM32

    Role and responsibilities

    • Developing of 3D indoor path planning and path following algorithms, using 2D and 3D occupancy maps
    • Developing of visual servoing algorithms for collision avoidance and alignment with objects using information from cameras, AI and machine learning
    • Developing of behavior and decision-making algorithms
    • Developing of collision avoidance algorithms by combining data from depth cameras and LIDAR sensors
    • Adapting, optimizing and tuning of existing open-source path planning and collision avoidance algorithms for edge devices
    • Participate in all phases of development by close collaboration with control systems, robotics, computer vision, machine learning and embedded Linux engineers
