Unicard is a leading UK provider of transport ticketing solutions, which we provide to local authority transport departments and transport operators. As a small / medium-sized enterprise we pride ourselves on outstanding products, technical support and customer service.

We work in partnership with exciting companies such as ITSO, Google and Idemia to retail and fulfil tickets to smartphones and cards.

Due to our constant expansion and new product investments, we are recruiting a new QA Engineer who will work with our R&D team based in Varna.

ROLE PURPOSE

The QA Engineer is working in a team of IT professionals (developers, testers, project managers and engineers) in Agile environment. The individual is responsible for the development process across all teams in the company. He/she is working closely with the development team and testers to deliver outstanding results.

You will join our Quality Assurance team who create web services for customers and partners and you will be in charge of development and deploy process. Your main responsibilities will be testing and delivering new features and maintenance of the Unicard products in a team of experience.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborates with software developers and project managers to develop acceptance tests and test plans to investigate product functionality.
• Analyzes and eliminates potential problems during the development phase.
• Designs and executes test cases and test scenarios.
• Participates in the acceptance tests of products and services.
• Reports bugs and problems detected.
• Prepares documentation for the tests performed.
• Reports the test results.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Web application testing experience
• Ability to work with SQL databases
• Skills in developing test documentation
• Efficiency and responsibility in the performance of their duties
• Ability to work in a team, ready to take on additional tasks
• Desire for professional development and improvement
• Understanding of Agile methodologies
• Good English verbal and writing
• Works effectively in a changing environment
• Seeks opportunities to learn and develop

Would be considered as a plus:

Experience using automated testing tools – Selenium, SoapUI, Cucumber and more.
