Your role will be:

• Design, develop and deploy advanced Machine Learning, Generative AI, NLP and Large Language Model (LLM) solutions that address complex business challenges and create measurable value.
• Build and optimize end-to-end AI/ML pipelines, including data ingestion, preprocessing, retrieval, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), model training, fine-tuning and prompt engineering.
• Drive the architecture and implementation of scalable AI solutions while ensuring alignment with both technical requirements and business objectives.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, Product Teams, MLOps specialists, Machine Learning Engineers and Software Engineers to successfully integrate models into production environments.
• Monitor, evaluate and continuously improve the performance, reliability and business impact of existing analytical and predictive models.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and contribute to the establishment of best practices, innovation and knowledge sharing within the Data Science community.
• Collaborate with international Data Science teams across the KBC Group and contribute to strategic AI initiatives and cutting-edge research projects.

You are the right candidate if:

• You hold a Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence or a related field.
• You have 5+ years of hands-on experience developing advanced Machine Learning, NLP and AI solutions using large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
• You possess strong expertise in Generative AI, Transformer-based architectures and Large Language Models such as GPT, Claude, Gemini or similar technologies.
• You have proven experience designing AI/ML solution architectures and working with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• You have at least 3 years of software engineering experience with Python and/or TypeScript.
• You have practical experience building and deploying LLM-powered or agentic AI solutions in production or near-production environments.
• You are familiar with modern AI frameworks and technologies such as LangChain, LangGraph, PydanticAI, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel, vector databases and RAG architectures.
• You have experience with containerization and infrastructure technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes and Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• Experience in banking, financial services or insurance will be considered an advantage.
• Contributions to open-source projects, academic research initiatives or Kaggle competitions will be considered a strong advantage.
• You are fluent in English and have excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
