About the role:

Our client is seeking an experienced Architect to drive enterprise AI strategy within the IT Architecture team. You will translate executive-level vision into pragmatic, defensible technical architectures – from selecting platforms and managing risk to successfully deploying solutions into production. You will own critical technology decisions (build vs. buy, model selection, cloud infrastructure), engage directly with senior stakeholders, and ensure governance and compliance are embedded throughout every stage of delivery.

What you’ll be doing:

• Establish and lead the overall AI technical direction and roadmap across the organization;
• Convert business requirements into robust, production-ready AI systems (GenAI, RAG, agents, ML);
• Serve as a go-to strategic partner for executive leadership on all AI-related matters;
• Ensure high standards across the full delivery lifecycle – from initial architecture and design through to deployment and live operation;
• Drive key technical choices, including whether to purchase or internally develop solutions, which platforms to adopt, and which AI models to use;
• Integrate ethical AI practices into every stage – including robust governance mechanisms, model explainability, and regulatory compliance;
• Guide and develop engineering talent while championing best practices, code quality, and operational excellence.

What we’re looking for:

• Deep architectural experience on AI initiatives
• Led application architecture or development across full lifecycle on multiple enterprise-scale projects
• Served as an architecture or technical lead for AI/ML systems
• Proven success deploying AI/ML solutions into production
• Deep knowledge of Agentic AI, Generative AI, and LLMOps
• Hands-on with Azure AI stack and modern cloud architectures
• Excellent communicator who can persuade and align senior stakeholders
