We are currently looking for a Software Engineer to join the engineering team of our client — an innovative technology company developing advanced solutions for connected devices, distributed systems, and real-time data management.

The Role

• This position sits at the intersection of software engineering, IoT, and distributed systems. You will develop and maintain core backend services for a specialized platform that processes real-time data from connected devices and distributed infrastructure.
• You will work on systems where software communicates directly with physical devices, processes high volumes of telemetry, and enables reliable data exchange between edge and cloud environments.

What You Will Do

• Develop and maintain backend services for a high-performance distributed platform.
• Design and implement data pipelines for real-time telemetry and device data.
• Build integrations with IoT devices using industrial communication protocols such as Modbus and MQTT.
• Optimize time-series data storage and retrieval using InfluxDB.
• Contribute to edge-to-cloud architecture for distributed connected devices.
• Work on reliable data processing and communication between devices and backend services.
• Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for optimization using Grafana dashboards.
• Collaborate with other engineers to design scalable and production-ready solutions.

What We Are Looking For

• 4+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and building production-grade backend services.
• Experience working with distributed or real-time systems.
• Ability to understand and work with systems where software interacts directly with external devices or infrastructure
• Experience with IoT, device integration, or industrial communication protocols.
• Experience with MQTT, Modbus, or similar communication protocols.
• Knowledge of edge computing or edge-to-cloud architectures.
