Cloud Storage SRE

Talent Hunter is seeking an experienced Cloud Storage Site Reliability Engineer for a leading international technology organisation operating large-scale cloud infrastructure.

In this role, you will ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of mission-critical storage platforms supporting cloud services across multiple regions. You will work with highly available block, object, file, and backup storage systems, driving automation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement in a modern SRE environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize the stability, availability, and resilience of cloud storage infrastructure
• Manage block, object, file, and backup storage systems in highly available environments
• Automate provisioning and operational processes to improve efficiency and reliability
• Contribute to robust storage architecture design and long-term platform stability
• Perform performance analysis, scaling strategies, and capacity planning
• Lead incident response for storage-related issues and conduct post-mortem analyses
• Implement preventive measures to reduce recurring incidents
• Collaborate cross-functionally with platform, cloud, and service teams
• Take end-to-end ownership of storage services delivered to customers

Requirements

• Strong experience operating enterprise or cloud storage platforms (e.g., NetApp, Cohesity, Pure, Ceph)
• Expertise in block, object, file, or backup storage technologies
• Solid understanding of cloud architectures and distributed systems
• Experience with infrastructure automation (Golang, Python, Bash, Ansible or similar)
• Familiarity with containerized environments (e.g., Kubernetes)
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch)
• Experience working with APIs, preferably REST (Golang or Python)
• Strong troubleshooting skills in performance, availability, and lifecycle management
• Passion for modern cloud technologies and continuous improvement
