Meet your team:

The EDT Data Protection team contributes towards how SAP respects data protection and privacy rights and safeguards the personal data of individuals under SAP’s control. It is a team of experienced project management and technical experts who share a passion for data protection and privacy topics.

What you`ll do:

We are looking for an experienced cloud software engineer who will work with us on the provisioning of solutions to ensure SAP’s compliance with data protection and privacy (DPP) regulations. These solutions include SAP’s central registry of processing activities, a solution to manage legal entity audits and to handle transfer impact assessments.

As a Senior software engineer you will

• Design and deliver cloud solutions in an agile team to ensure SAP’s DPP compliance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, legal experts, and technical specialists during all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Build on a modern cloud stack and infrastructure.
• Develop Generative AI based solutions using prompt engineering for the generation of synthetic text.
• Work together with scrum master and product owner.

What you bring:

• Master’s degree in computer science, data science or related field.
• Proficient in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, JAVA, or others, must have worked with the NodeJS framework.
• Experience with ODATA or REST APIs, microservice architecture, and multi target application.
• Hands-on experience with Cloud Foundry, Cloud Application Platform (CAP), CDS framework, SAP’s Business Technology Platform, oris time-limti other cloud providers like
• AWS/GCP/Azure would be beneficial.
• General interest in data protection and privacy topics.
• Experience with working in scrum teams and ideally in a SAFe setup.
• Excellent communication skills, fluency in English, as well as willingness to learn and collaborate in an international team.

The position is time-limited (maternity cover) until at least November 2025.
