From our office in Sofia, we service some of the largest power, gas and oil trading companies in Germany, Austria, Sweden, the UK, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic.

We are looking for:

• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive approach and can-do attitude.
• Willingness to learn the business behind the code.
• Good understanding of DevOps and Agile methodologies.
• Experience creating web services with Python 3.12+, FastAPI, Django 5.0 or another web framework.
• Experience testing software with pytest + any mocking library.
• Good knowledge in relational databases.
• Experience developing message- or event-driven applications with Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with parallel, concurrent, asynchronous, and/or reactive programming.
• Past involvement in building and deploying containerized software – ideally with Kubernetes and any CI/CD tool (Azure Devops, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins).
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure with Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• Open to working with other technology stacks (Java or .NET) in the future, no prior experience required.

It would be an advantage if you understand (and yes, you will get to use some or all the below):

• Fluent written and spoken German (at least B2).
• The energy or financial domain, ideally intraday energy markets.
• React or a similar front-end framework.
• Non-relational databases – Cassandra, MongoDB, Redis.
• Less orthodox communication protocols – FIX, ZeroMQ, WebSocket, gRPC.
• Monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Logstash, OpenSearch.
• IaC tools like Helm, Terraform.

Your responsibilities will be:

• Analysis, design, development, testing, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of software solutions.
