About the job:

For our growing team in Sofia, we are looking for a Senior MS Fabric Consultant. You will work with our clients to provide analysis, design, implementation, testing, and support services for their front office and risk management activities. You will report to your respective team lead and internal and external project managers/product owners related to your assigned projects.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze products, processes, and needs within the customer business

• Perform data analysis and validation

• Design, build and/or maintain Data Warehouse solutions

• Model and visualize data – mostly with Power BI

• Create and manage data flows using ETL/ELT tools/frameworks

• Participate in project assessment and/or coordinate project activities – within and across teams

• Provide training and support within the company and to our customers

Experience we are looking for:

• Proficiency in SQL (Snowflake, Azure SQL, Oracle, Postgres or similar)

• Proficient in MS PowerBI (PowerQuery, DAX, XMLA, REST APIs, Tabular Editor, SSMS)

• MS Fabric knowledge

o MS Fabric architectural understanding

 Batch vs streaming

 Dataflow Gen2 vs Fabric Notebooks

 DWH vs LH

o Practical capacity admin experience (RLS, workspace management, capacity metrics utlization, etc.)

o Pipelines and data movement and integration activities (similar to ADF, Matillion, Databricks, Airflow or other)

o Good understanding of OneLake and Delta vs Parquet files

o Good understanding of the pros and cons of Vertipaq and Apache engines

• Practical experience with Python – Pandas/ PySpark and working with notebooks and cloud data file storages (preferably using Databricks)

• Practical experience with building pipelines (preferably using ADF or Matillion) and dataflows (Dataflow Gen2)

• Practical experience with building Data Warehouses (Star/Snowflake Schema, etc.)

• Comprehension of relational databases beyond simple queries

• Good understanding of DevOps and Agile methodologies

• Designing, implementing, testing and troubleshooting ETL/ELT data pipelines using various data sources and tools – APIs, local files, databases, etc.

• Served as the primary point of contact, challenged stakeholder requirements, and proposed solution-driven alternatives

Experience in the following is a plus:

• Good Industry/process knowledge

• Economics or Finance education

• Working language proficiency in German

• Previous experience with leading projects/teams and mentoring colleagues

• Previous experience with enterprise solutions
