How You Will Make an Impact

As a Data Engineer, you’ll lead and mentor, fostering collaboration and strategic alignment with business goals. Design innovative data pipelines for advanced analytics, ensuring informed decision-making. Introduce cutting-edge technologies for continuous improvement while upholding robust data governance. Your impact goes beyond technology, shaping a data-driven future for our organization.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Science, Engineering, and business stakeholders, to define and understand data requirements.
•  Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines and architectures to support advanced analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
•  Implement data quality and validation processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data across various systems.
•  Evaluate and implement new technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance data processing and storage capabilities.
•  Optimize and fine-tune existing data processes for improved performance and efficiency.
•  Define and enforce data governance policies and standards to ensure data integrity and security.
•  Collaborate with infrastructure teams to design and implement robust, scalable, and secure data storage and retrieval solutions.
•  Participate in strategic planning and contribute to the development of the overall data architecture and roadmap.

What You’ll Need

• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and warehouses (e.g., AWS (Redshift), Azure (Synapse), Google Cloud (BigQuery), Snowflake).
• Knowledge of data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI) for creating insightful reports and dashboards.
• Strong programming skills, with proficiency in languages such as Python and a solid understanding of software engineering principles.
• Experience in extracting data through APIs or data extraction tooling (e.g., Fivetran, Snowplow).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills in both written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Experience with orchestration tooling (e.g., Airflow, Argo CD).
• Strong understanding of data security and compliance standards.
• Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
• Experience with Kubernetes.
