With ongoing expansion, they’re now looking for a seasoned automation expert to lead innovation within their Platform & Payments division.

About the Role

We are seeking a Principal Performance Engineer to join the Platform & Payments Department. In this senior-level position, you will own the end-to-end performance strategy of a high-traffic iGaming platform. Your work will be critical in identifying system bottlenecks, ensuring stability at scale, and enhancing the speed and responsiveness of services across casino games, sports betting, and payment systems.

This is both a strategic and hands-on role, with a direct impact on technical excellence and system reliability.

What You’ll Do

• Define, implement, and lead comprehensive performance testing strategies (load, stress, scalability, endurance, and capacity)
• Use tools like JMeter, Gatling, or k6 to simulate real-world load scenarios
• Analyze performance metrics and logs to uncover latency, throughput, and scalability issues
• Prepare detailed performance reports with actionable recommendations
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (Dev, QA, DevOps, Infrastructure) to resolve bottlenecks and fine-tune systems
• Optimize test scripts, backend code, database queries, and infrastructure for maximum efficiency
• Collaborate with Architecture to define tuning strategies for hardware, software, and databases
• Enhance system observability through real-time dashboards (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK)
• Establish performance benchmarks and monitor ongoing compliance
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and system health metrics
• Evaluate third-party integrations (e.g., payment providers, games) for performance risk
• Document test plans, results, and remediation strategies
• Mentor teams on performance best practices and scalable solutions

Your Background

• 5+ years of experience in performance and automation testing
• Proficient in performance testing tools like JMeter, Gatling, k6, or similar
• Solid programming/scripting knowledge in Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript
• Experience with APM tools (e.g., Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics) is a strong advantage
• Familiar with SQL and database optimization techniques (indexing, execution plans)
• Hands-on experience with Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Splunk, or similar monitoring tools
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Confident communicator, able to translate technical insights to non-technical stakeholders
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to lead and mentor
