Principal Performance Engineer

We’re looking for a Principal Performance Engineer to lead the optimization of our large-scale iGaming platform — ensuring top performance, scalability, and reliability across casino, sportsbook, and payment systems.

You’ll take ownership of performance strategy, testing, and system tuning, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks and deliver a seamless user experience in high-traffic environments.

Responsibilities

Design and execute comprehensive performance testing strategies (load, stress, scalability, and endurance).

Utilize tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or k6 to simulate real-world user scenarios.

Analyze performance metrics, logs, and traces to identify bottlenecks and root causes.

Collaborate with Development, DevOps, and Architecture teams to optimize system performance.

Propose and implement improvements to application code, queries, and infrastructure configurations.

Define and monitor performance KPIs, reporting insights to stakeholders.

Support continuous performance monitoring through Grafana, Prometheus, or ELK dashboards.

Mentor development and QA teams on performance testing methodologies and best practices.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in performance and automation testing.

Strong command of tools like JMeter, Gatling, or k6.

Proficiency in Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.

Experience with SQL performance tuning and database optimization.

Familiarity with APM tools (Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics) and monitoring stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK).

Strong analytical and communication skills; able to translate findings into actionable insights.

Nice to have:

Certifications in performance testing or cloud technologies.

Experience in high-load environments such as iGaming, fintech, or large-scale SaaS.
