What You’ll Own:

Command SQL Server environments (2008–2022) like a digital conductor – both on-prem fortresses and cloud-native Azure SQL deployments
Become the performance detective using Query Store, wait statistics, index archaeology, and deadlock forensics
Architect bulletproof backup/restore strategies and fortress-level security (because data breaches are career killers)
Build and maintain mission-critical HA/DR solutions – AlwaysOn clusters, log shipping pipelines, replication networks
Unleash automation superpowers with PowerShell, T-SQL wizardry, and Azure DevOps orchestration
Shape the future of data infrastructure – BI platforms, analytics engines, enterprise data warehouses
Lead digital transformations through migrations that would make other teams panic

Requirements:

Must-Haves:

3–5 years of SQL Server combat experience (not just ticket-closing, but real problem-solving)
T-SQL mastery and database engine architecture knowledge that goes beyond Google searches
Battle scars from HA/DR implementations (AlwaysOn, mirroring, replication – you’ve been there)
The detective mindset to hunt down performance gremlins and eliminate them
Communication skills sharp enough to explain complex technical concepts to anyone
The independence to own problems from discovery to resolution

Bonus Points:

PowerShell scripting that makes repetitive tasks disappear
Azure SQL and cloud-native architecture experience
DevOps pipeline mastery and infrastructure-as-code thinking
Previous consulting experience (you know how to handle client pressure)
