For our IT Division, we are currently looking for a Head of Database Management Section.

The Head of Database Management Section responsibilities are:

• Participate/lead the development and implementation of procedures to continually raise the maintenance, continuity, operations and service delivery capabilities within the sphere of it’s responsibilities.
• Accountability for Audit Reports concerning the Section.
• Organization and control of projects concerning Section’s involvement:
• Develop and implement security plans for each database server. Security plans ensures that server and databases are secure and that users can access the data they need.
• Participates in creation and implementation of the IT Infrastructure Strategy the characteristics of which should be innovative and able to embrace technology innovations.
• Drive the development and monitoring KPIs and performance metrics relevant to the services provided by its Section ensuring that they deliver value, in accordance with SLAs moreover targeting to continuous improvement of IT provided services.
• Work with the staff to determine the requirements for RDBMS server installations, installs and configures RDBMS servers on test, pre-production and production machines.
• Develop and implement the monitoring strategy for servers and databases
• Communicate regularly with vendors, technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security.
• Analyze monitoring reports and looks for performance trends, works with other staff members to trouble shoot poor performance.
• Identify and ensure adequate and appropriate resources for realization of the new projects goals.

• • Accountable for the Bank’s Database environments;

The appropriate candidates must fulfil the following criteria (Certificates will be an advantage):

• Education – University degree in Computer science, Economics, Informatics, Electronics or equivalent combination of professional trainings and expertise
• Experience with administering RDBMS
• Experience with Microsoft SQL, Oracle and Sybase database servers
• Experience with administering of Data warehouse and OLAP DB and servers
• Analytical thinking
