DevOps Engineer

Our international IT Hub in Sofia, Bulgaria is growing. You will be able to work with different teams within the PHOENIX Group in Europe, being involved in projects related to SAP, Security, Infrastructure, Cloud, Network, OCC, Business Intelligence, ERP, and CRM Solutions. We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our international team in Sofia for one of our internal companies called Apotek 1.

Apotek 1 is Norway’s largest pharmacy chain and has a number of complex services. Several of the services are considered critical to society, and there are also great demands on accessibility and safety.

The Department of Operations and Infrastructure currently consists of 17 people. Our tasks range from classic operational tasks such as maintenance and support etc. to architecture, implementation, etc. Phoenix Group Pharmahandel owns Apotek 1, and our department interacts closely with colleagues in Corporate IT (CIT). Apotek 1 is among the largest and most competence-heavy companies affiliated with Phoenix Group and we experience that we gain a lot of respect and understanding for our requirements and needs.

Your Responsibilities:

• Acting as a spearhead in Azure and working with developers, managers, and CIT to ensure stable and predictable operation of our services in Azure.

• Collaborating with architects and other professionals, both internally at Apotek1 but also in collaboration with CIT and third parties, to develop designs and implement new services in Azure.

• Preparation and ongoing update of documentation, procedures, etc.

• Participation in various projects.

Your Profile:

• 3+ years of operational experience with Azure: Apotek 1 aims to primarily use PaaS services, and only secondarily use IaaS. Examples of services used:

•  PaaS: Function, ServiceBus, ASE, APIM, ADF, and more.
•  IaaS: Windows and Linux Server, WVD.

• 3+ years of operational experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Azure DevOps, ARM/Bicep, etc.).

• 3+ years of operational experience with scripting, especially with respect to use with ARM/Bicep, Azure CLI, and PowerShell.

• The candidate is expected to have experience and competence in automation for efficiency and predictability.

• Intermediate Linux Administration experience.

• It is advantageous if the candidate has a basic familiarity with some of the following technologies/products:.

•  Kubernetes.
•  MS PowerPlatform.
