DevOps Engineer

About the role:

Palms Bet family is seeking for a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth operation of our software development and deployment processes.

Responsibilities:

•Design and implement scalable, reliable, and efficient CI/CD pipelines for our software applications;

•Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation;

•Collaborate with development teams to define and implement best practices for software delivery and deployment;

•Monitor and optimize the performance, availability, and scalability of our systems and applications;

•Automate routine operational tasks and ensure proper monitoring and alerting mechanisms are in place;

•Conduct system and application security assessments, and implement necessary measures to protect our systems and data;

•Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues in a timely manner;

•Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and evaluate their potential impact on our infrastructure and processes.

Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;

-At least 3 years of experience in DevOps or a similar role;

-Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation;

-Extensive knowledge of CI/CD tools and concepts, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI;

-Solid scripting skills in Python, Bash, or other relevant languages;

-Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes;

-Strong understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and system administration;

-Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment;

-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Optional (considered a plus):

•Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools such as ELK Stack, Prometheus, or Datadog.
