Senior Java Developer

OpenTag is a well-funded International company within the field of Sports Betting and iGaming.

We are currently looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our Sport-Casino team.

Our platform is built in Golang and Java(Spring boot) with heavy usage of best practice packages, development approaches, and infrastructure. We take pride in innovation, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements 

• 4+ Years in Java and OOP development
• 2+ Years with Spring framework
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL)
• Hands-on experience with Microservices
• Hands-on experience with Kafka/AMQP protocols
• Hands-on experience with gRPC
• Hands-on experience with writing BDD tests
• Containers experience (Docker or K8s) – advantage
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with R&D leads on requirements gathering, solution design, prototyping, development, testing, and deployment.
• Work closely with the Delivery Manager and Product Owners to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
• Maintain high code quality through code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Identify and proactively address potential issues related to architecture, system design, application flow, or code quality.
• Drive innovation by introducing new technologies, tools, and engineering best practices.
