Description

We are looking for a Production and Development DBA which is responsible for daily operations and development for critical mission enterprise database systems in MySQL, SQL Server, Elasticsearch, Couchbase, MemSQL.

Responsibilities

• Support the development team in optimizing queries, software deployment and contribute to database design and development
• Responsible for managing and supporting MySQL, SQL Server
• Install, Configure and Maintain MySQL, SQL Server including monitoring the health of SQL instance and performance
• Responsible for all administration activities like backup, recovery, index, replication, health checkup, etc.
• Join the on-call duty, shifts routine, and solve critical database issues
• Monitor databases to optimize database performance and diagnose issues
• Work with development and operations teams to tune production queries for optimal performance
• Provide technical support of database environments/applications, including software installation, database creation, upgrades, patches, etc.

Requirements

• 3+ years as MySQL DBA
• 1+ years as SQL Server DBA
• 3+ years of experience with development and production environments
• 3+ years of database design, optimization & performance tuning
• Application and infrastructure – stored procedures, query optimizations, code quality improvement
• Linux/Unix – shell scripting, server analysis, infrastructure management – advantage
• Ability to efficiently troubleshoot and resolve system issues
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing)
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
