Senior Back-End Developer – JAVA (Remote)

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to join our talented team and contribute to the development of our proprietary Risk-ops platform by adding new features and ensuring maximum performance while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle process. You will be able to design and build modern high-volume and low-latency applications for mission-critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain robust, scalable and efficient Java applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to coding standards and best practices, and also understand the business requirements behind the code and the needed solution.
• Analyze, debug, and resolve complex technical issues and production problems, working closely with the QA, Product, Front-end, Back-end and DevOps teams.
• Conduct thorough testing to ensure software reliability and quality.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and other developers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for code, system designs, and processes.
• Optimize application performance and scalability through code refactoring and system enhancements.
• Ensure robust security practices are integrated into the development process and application architecture.
• Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and provide technical guidance to ensure the team’s overall technical growth and productivity.

Requirements

• At least 5 years experience with Java and a deep understanding of the Java ecosystem. Experience working with Apache Kafka, Git, SQL/NoSQL databases on a bigger scale, Redis/Memcached, Docker, and Linux.
• Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals and system design principles.
• Eagerness to learn new languages, frameworks, and tools.
• Strong problem-solving mindset for tackling complex challenges.
• Experience in the Fintech/Regtech industry with knowledge of Fraud Prevention solutions will be considered as an advantage.
