    What You Will Do: As an Automation Quality Engineer at Nicoya Health, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software systems through both automated and manual testing. You will design and implement robust test solutions for APIs, web, and mobile applications, ensuring that our products meet functional requirements and deliver an exceptional user experience. Your responsibilities will include integrating testing into our evolving CI/CD processes, utilizing automatic promotion gates, and managing testing infrastructure across development, staging, and production environments. You will also handle integrations with external systems, perform testing on large data volumes using mocking techniques, and address the unique challenges presented by AI-driven functionalities.

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for APIs, web, and mobile applications.
    • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and enhance automated validation processes.
    • Perform manual testing to evaluate end-user experience and validate new features for web and mobile platforms (iOS, Android).
    • Manage infrastructure and pipelines for development, staging, and production environments, ensuring a smooth release process.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement acceptance criteria for new features.
    • Employ mocking techniques to simulate real data for testing in environments with large data volumes.
    • Focus on automated testing of AI-based functionalities, adapting to unpredictable behavior.
    • Continuously seek ways to improve testing strategies and enhance overall software quality.

    What We Need from You:

    • BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
    • 4+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, with a strong focus on test automation.
    • Proficiency in Python or willingness to learn and develop skills in this language.
    • Hands-on experience with automated testing for APIs, web applications, or mobile apps.
    • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
    • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).
    • Ability to work in a hybrid in-office setup (3 days/week in-office presence required).
