Data Engineer

If you want to work with database sizes measured in petabytes, or you get excited from heavy query loads, join our team and help us out. We are in need of your help if you are an experienced data engineer who has a thing for building things from scratch! Being a member of our Data team, you and your teammates will be a catalyst for change in how our organization stores, processes and utilizes data. The ultimate goal is ,via data, to give our business units a more thorough insight into our customers’ behaviors. Ideally this would not be the first time that you face this challenge before and you cannot wait to be challenged again!

About your new role:

– Help us to maintain and improve an in-house data warehouse that enables data analysis and data-

driven decisions for the whole organization

– Build and manage ETL workflows to integrate data from many sources into a single source

– Design/build/maintain a framework to ensure data is accessible, up-to-date, secure, consistent and complete

Skills & Requirements:

– Experience in design and development of Data Warehousing

– Strong skills in any ETL tool – Airflow, (knowledge of alternatives like SSIS, etc. is a plus)

– A strong database knowledge and experience, optimization, troubleshooting

– Expertise in Columnar Databases, especially ClickHouse (including table engines, materialized views, and how to troubleshoot heavy query loads).

– Strong skills in SQL and Python

– Experience working with REST APIs

– Experience in design and management of data integrity / data validation processes

– Attention to detail, strong problem solving and communication skills

– Hands-on experience with AWS technologies such as S3, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions.

– Excellent communication skills in English to collaborate with an international team.

– Bachelor’s or higher degree in computer sciences is considered a plus
