Modeshift is a product development company building software for public transportation. Our goal is to improve the life of the people by providing better transportation services. Our product covers the full spectrum of transportation management needs, covering passengers’ mobile apps, vehicle schedules and monitoring, fare management, payment processing, and analytics. This is tightly integrated with various devices that we use – handhelds, validators, vehicle computers, etc. Our system is used in multiple cities in the US and EU.

Responsibilities

As Project Manager, you will lead various projects from initiation through implementation into successful launch and handover to relevant teams, keeping communication to clients and management clear and accurate for the whole project lifecycle. You will have the chance to work on software-only implementations and those that involve the project management of installation and data integration of various onboard hardware components.

You will work with various teams across the company (sales, product, engineering, field services, and support) during the delivery of public solutions (ticketing/EMV/AVL/DRT/etc.), including all software and hardware parts (onboard bus validators, ticket vending machines, board computers, retail channels). By working closely with them, you will build, maintain, and implement a rollout plan for all project deliverables, considering all dependencies between them.

You will continuously monitor delivery progress and achievements and make sure to communicate to all relevant stakeholders in a transparent manner and at the appropriate level of detail.

During the project delivery, you will work daily with travel agencies across the US, Bulgaria, and Romania.

Qualifications

• +2 Years of Program/Project Management experience in IT
• Experience in using different project management methodologies – Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid
• Experience in managing cross-functional projects, with proven ability to take ownership of all aspects of a project from concept to completion.
• Client-facing experience (face-to-face or remote)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and project management solutions like Jira
• Positive attitude and ability to take the initiative.
• Readiness to improve performance through optimized practices and processes
• Ability and flexibility to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment
• Robust system and business analytical thinking

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with delivery management of connected systems and GovTech solutions will be considered a huge plus.

Professional project management accreditation (PRINCE2, PMP, etc.) or relevant comparable experience.
