Senior Frontend Engineer (React & NextJS)

Role Overview

For one of our customers, we build highly scalable modern solutions for the future of fundraising. We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to lead, innovate, and build high-quality user experiences across our web and mobile platforms.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in frontend development, including experience operating at a senior level
• Expert in React.js, React Native, and TypeScript
• Strong understanding of modern frontend architecture, component-driven design, and state management (Redux, Zustand, or similar)
• Experience building scalable, performant, and maintainable UI systems
• Deep understanding of web performance, accessibility, and responsive design
• Experience with Next.js, Expo, and modern build tools (Webpack, Vite, etc.)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, API integrations, and deployment processes
• Strong experience with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright, Detox)
• Understanding of observability practices (frontend monitoring, logging, performance tracking)
• Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) to improve productivity
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and design
• Passion for quality, usability, and continuous improvement
• Experience building or contributing to design systems
• Familiarity with scalable frontend architecture patterns
• Experience with Storybook or component documentation tools

Key Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the frontend technical roadmap, aligning with product and company goals
• Design and build scalable, high-performance user interfaces across web and mobile
• Collaborate closely with backend, product, and design teams to deliver seamless user experiences
• Establish and maintain frontend best practices, standards, and design patterns
• Own and improve frontend build, deployment, and CI/CD pipelines
• Lead code reviews and architectural discussions, ensuring high-quality output
• Mentor engineers through feedback, pairing, and knowledge sharing
• Monitor and improve frontend performance using metrics, logs, and monitoring tools
• Identify bottlenecks and drive performance and UX optimisations
• Champion testing, reliability, and maintainability across the frontend codebase
