Senior Designer Team Lead

We are hiring a Senior Product Design Lead to partner tightly with Product and Engineering in building the next generation of XProtect’s global system administration experience – the suite of tools, workflows, and intelligent services that enterprise administrators and integrators rely on to configure, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize XProtect deployments at scale.

This role is ideal for a design leader who combines deep interaction design craft, strong workflow‑first thinking, and the ability to operate inside an empowered Product Trio model. You will guide designers, shape design strategy across the domain, and help introduce Agentic AI‑augmented workflows into both the product and our design practice.

This position is based in Sofia, Bulgaria (hybrid).

What You Will Do

Design high‑impact workflows for system administration

• Lead the end‑to‑end design of critical XProtect admin workflows such as installation, configuration, monitoring, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Translate complex, technical operations into elegant, intuitive, and scalable design patterns that elevate administrator productivity and reduce cognitive and operational burden.
• Ensure the admin experience becomes an industry benchmark for usability within enterprise video management systems.

Operate as a core member of empowered Product Trios

• Partner closely with the Senior Product Manager and Tech Lead to drive continuous discovery, high‑velocity experimentation, and iterative solution shaping.
• Contribute deeply to opportunity mapping, concept exploration, and evidence‑driven validation.
• Represent usability and human‑centred reasoning as a core decision‑making pillar alongside desirability, technical feasibility, and business viability.

Integrate Agentic AI into product workflows and design practice

• Design experiences that incorporate predictive maintenance, guided troubleshooting, configuration recommendations, autonomous optimization, and intelligent insights.
• Use modern AI‑augmented design workflows (rapid prototyping, scenario modelling, experience scaffolding) to increase speed, variation, and fidelity in solution discovery.
• Help define design patterns and interaction models for AI‑driven behaviours across the admin ecosystem.

Elevate design craft and strengthen design operations

• Provide day‑to‑day coaching for a small team of Product Designers, raising bar on interaction quality, decision‑making, and evidence‑driven design.
• Establish strong design rituals, scalable design ops practices, robust documentation, and cohesive design system extensions tailored to the admin domain.
• Ensure design output across teams is coherent, consistent, and grounded in real customer evidence.

Shape ecosystem‑level design strategy

• Contribute patterns, frameworks, and reusable components that help unify experiences across the admin toolchain, multi‑site deployments, and enterprise environments.
• Drive alignment across trio teams, ensuring that dispersed feature work connects into an integrated system administration experience.

What You Bring

• Proven experience leading or coaching Product Designers within complex, deeply technical, or enterprise‑scale product areas.
• Strong interaction design craft with emphasis on workflow design, information architecture, prototyping, and design system evolution.
• Experience working within empowered discovery‑driven product teams (Cagan/Torres principles).
• A highly evidence‑led approach — leveraging research, telemetry, customer interviews, and continuous discovery practices.
• Comfort working with system administrators, integrators, and technical users; motivation to build deeper domain expertise.
• Curiosity and openness toward Agentic AI tools, AI‑augmented design workflows, and designing for intelligent/autonomous behaviours.
• Clear, structured communication skills; ability to articulate trade-offs, rationale, and design intent to cross-functional partners.
