    About the Project

    Our Java team is looking for a mid/senior software engineer to join an innovative project in the healthcare domain for one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. The team is working on building the core of the system that will provide support to hundreds of clinical studies and customer facing applications improving the wellbeing of patients all around the world. For example, along with them, we develop a product for revolutionary treatment of asthma, helping those suffering from the disease to predict and reduce it’s negative impact on their quality of life. It involves the use of modern tools and technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, Hibernate, Kubernetes, AWS and microservices architecture.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop new functionalities and enhance existing components
    • Participate in code reviews
    • Design and develop modern, scalable, and high-performing enterprise applications
    • Integrate with existing 3rd party systems
    • Review and analyze business requirements and provide a technical perspective on approach, risk, and estimated development time
    • Closely collaborate and manage relationships with clients and stakeholders
    • Define and consult the clients on the best technical solutions for new features
    • Participate successfully in an established daily Scrum process and communicate frequently with clients and subject matter experts

    Technical requirements

    • 3-5+ years of professional experience with Java
    • Experience with Spring Boot
    • Strong knowledge and/or experience with Hibernate
    • Experience in database design and implementation – MySQL, PostgreSQL
    • Good knowledge and experience with AWS

    An advantage would be

    • Experience with Kafka
    • Knowledge of Docker and/or Kubernetes
    • Good understanding of CI/CD
    • Experience with JUnit
    • Experience with Azure

    Other requirements

    • Excellent written and verbal English
    • BS/MS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent is a plus
    • Experience with SCRUM development methodology
    • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
    • Proactive attitude towards learning and problem solving
    • Ability to effectively manage relationships with clients
