    We are looking to hire a Data Architect for our Data & Analytics Center of Excellence (DCOE). As a Data Architect in DCOE, your primary goal will be to offer non-standard solutions and unlock the potential of our clients. You will be responsible for developing scalable and high-performance reporting solutions and determining appropriate applications for data processing, storing, analysis and visualization.

    Responsibilities

    • Analyze, design, and architect big data solutions to support business needs
    • Design and architect database back-end as well as web services to interface with external applications
    • Work with the development team to create conceptual data models and data flows
    • Develop best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within the system
    • Implement data strategies and develop physical data models
    • Work with the latest development and server technologies from Microsoft, Amazon, and Apache
    • Review and analyze business requirements and provide a technical perspective on approach, risk, and estimated development time
    • Day-to-day communication with client team members, expert personnel, and subject matter experts
    • Participate in rapid, prototype-based design sessions
    • Troubleshoot and optimize data systems

    Requirements

    • 5+ years of experience with relational, dimensional, and/or analytic experience (using RDBMS, dimensional, NoSQL data platform technologies, and ETL)
    • Hands-on designing highly scalable ETL processes or data ingestion pipelines
    • In-depth knowledge of any of the popular database and data warehouse technologies from SQL & NoSQL realm – Redshift, DynamoDB, Oracle, Azure Synapse Analytics, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.
    • Familiarity in database design, modeling, data mart, data warehouse architecture, and data lake
    • Expert in database query execution and optimization techniques
    • Strong knowledge of systems development, including system development life cycle, project management approaches and requirements, design and testing techniques
    • Ability to think strategically and demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to adapt to and learn new technologies and concepts
    • Fluent in English

    A significant advantage would be an experience with

    • Amazon Web Services (AWS Athena, AWS Lambda, Glue, Kinesis, DMS, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, EMR, Redshift, EC2)
    • Azure Business Intelligence Services (Power BI, Power BI Embedded, Azure Analysis Services, Azure Synapse Analytics)
    • Azure Big Data Services (HDInsight, Data Lake Analytics, Data Lake Store)
    • Databricks and/or Apache Spark
    • ETL tools like Airflow, Talend, Matillion, Informatica, ODI, SSIS
    • Hadoop ecosystem
