DevOps Engineer with AWS

For one of our clients, a leading bank-insurance group with over 41,000 talented employees serving more than 12 million clients across Europe we are looking for a DevOps Engineer. Their community accommodates talented professionals with years of experience as well as recent university graduates of different backgrounds who are results-driven and passionate about the success of the company.

As an AWS Infrastructure/DevOps Engineer, you would have the following responsibilities:

• Understand the current application infrastructure and suggest improvements;
• Follow best practices and strategies for application deployment and infrastructure maintenance;
• Monitor AWS environments to ensure optimal performance and seamless operations;
• Implement the application’s CI/CD pipeline using AWS CI/CD stack;
• Write infrastructure as code using Terraform or a similar tool;
• Work with AWS services such as AWS Gateway, AWS Appmesh, AWS Backup, AWS Code Signer, AWS SQS/SNS, CodeArtificast, CodeStar Connection, EKS setup, ElasticCache, IAM, Route 53, and SonarQube.

As an AWS Infrastructure/DevOps Engineer, you are:

• A seasoned infrastructure specialist with proven experiencе;
• Focused on implementation according to the Well Architect Framework;
• Able to automate, scale, monitor, update, back up, and implement disaster recovery and high availability;
• Able to effectively communicate and coordinate in case of emergency;
• Skilled at teaching others about AWS and implementations;
• Comfortable working independently and taking on tasks end-to-end;
• Adept at working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced organization.

If you join us, you will focus on the below (previous experience with such tasks is a plus):

• The core AWS services;
• Linux/Unix administration;
• Docker and Kubernetes;
• Monitoring solutions such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, and the ELK stack;
• Large-scale systems design;
• Troubleshooting distributed systems;
• Building or maintaining cloud-native applications;
• Serverless approaches using AWS Lambda, such as the Serverless Application Model (AWS SAM);
• Writing infrastructure as code using Terraform;
• Python, Shell, and basic knowledge of networking and core internet protocols.
