Web Developer (Angular, Ruby on Rails) – Mid/Senior

Your new role:

The Software Engineer position requires an experienced, reliable and results-oriented person who enjoys making new things and helping to make old things work better. This role will significantly contribute to our platforms through your coding, planning and collaboration skills. We have challenging problems and love working with smart people who can help us solve them.

• Write well-designed, testable, efficient code that’s easy to understand and well-tested
• Understand the needs of our business and help us find the best path to meet them while building awesome software
• Build guard rails so we can move fast – we want to be the most responsive team in the industry and need help automating our manual tasks and having enough coverage to allow us to refactor the code as needed
• Work on a variety of projects with minimum supervision, perform effectively from sprint planning to DevOps
• Provide support and participate in the Scrum process to ensure quality work plans for each sprint and into the future

Requirements:

• Two or more years of AngularJS experience
• Experience with Websocket-based front-end implementations and reusable Angular code
• Two or more years of Ruby on Rails experience
• Experience developing your own Gems and/or monkey-patching existing Gems
• Experience with modern applications (CI/CD, instrumentation)
• Knowledge of RESTful API design and development
• Understanding of Relational Databases, SQL (MySQL, MariaDB)
• Git with Git Flow or similar branching strategies
