What is your new role:

• Development of physical test fixtures, electronic circuitry on the test fixtures, and the firmware running the test fixtures.
• Test the interaction between the C# desktop app and the hardware device to ensure proper communication and functionality.
• Improve the quality of Alula products by designing and implementing improvements to our test fixtures.
• Using M2M and Alula’s template for production test fixtures, design and implement fixtures for new products.
• Assist in the support of the manufacturing floor, ensuring that fixtures in use are fully functional and working properly.
• Provide production manufacturing floor support to aid support staff in diagnosing / repairing malfunctioning test equipment.
• Determine root-cause for production tester yield issues and implement appropriate hardware and / or firmware changes.
• Act as a resource for other design engineers through the development process as questions arise
• Work within a cross-location team, bridging Sofia and USA to come up with an extraordinary product.

What it takes:

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering;
• 3 years experience in hardware and firmware development;
• C#-language experience
• Demonstrated ability to be productive in development of quality hardware and firmware;
• Schematic capture and PCB layout experience, preferably in Altium;
• C-language firmware experience using Microchip products is a plus;
• Experience determining product manufacturing test parameters and writing test plans;
• Ability to dialogue with engineers about complex issues and communicate issues clearly with appropriate context;
• Self-motivated and ability to raise questions and seek resolution, willingness to ask for help when needed;
• Excellent organization and time management skills with an ability to think proactively and prioritize work;
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment;
• Fluency in English – both written and spoken.
