Manual QA Engineer – Hardware and Software Functional testing (working from office)

What is your new role: 

• you will be responsible for testing our prototypes and new products within the R&D department to ensure proper device functioning and compliance with industry as well as customer specifications;
• validating product reliability by analyzing and troubleshooting throughout various stages of the product development process;
• executing manual functional tests of hardware devices as well as IoT connectivity and machine-to-machine communication;
• preparing execution plans and test procedures;
• researching schematics and third-party equipment manuals;
• replicating set-up and configuration of third-party alarm panels and IoT devices to test evaluate with our products.

What it takes: 

• a bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in electronics, engineering or equivalent;
• previous experience in testing and validating of electronic product systems;
• good understanding of communication interfaces, digital electronics, and multilayer PCB design;
• good understanding and willingness to implement and follow best QA practices, methodologies and processes;
• good communication skills, attention to detail, strong analytical skills;
• self-starting and proactive nature with the ability to self-manage tasks, prioritize and ensure comprehensive testing coverage, without the need of constant oversight;
• experience with Jira, Confluence and MS Products is a plus, but not necessarily required
