API Software Engineer – Mid/Senior

What is your new role: 

• Write well designed, testable, efficient code that’s easy to understand and well tested;
• Understand the needs of our business and help us find the best path to meet them while building awesome software;
• Build guard rails so we can move fast – we want to be the most responsive team in the industry and need help automating our manual tasks and having enough coverage to allow us to refactor the code as needed;
• Work on a variety of projects with minimum supervision, perform effectively from sprint planning to DevOps;
• Provide support and participate in the Scrum process to ensure quality work plans for each sprint and into the future;
• Work within a cross-location team, bridging Sofia and USA to come up with an extraordinary product.

What it takes: 

• a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience;
• 3+ years Node.js, modern JavaScript in an API setting or as middleware;
• Experience with applications (CI/CD, instrumentation);
• Experience in REST API design and development;
• Understanding of Relational Databases, SQL (MySQL, MariaDB);
• Git with Git Flow or similar branching strategies;
• Proficiency with AWS, Azure, or similar cloud technologies (AWS preferred);
• Proficiency with Terraform;
• Fluency in English – both written and spoken.
