    Job Description

    Louis Dreyfus Company is a leading agricultural company committed to innovation and efficiency in our operations. As part of our strategic vision, we are embarking on a transformative journey to modernize our back-office systems, transitioning from legacy accounting systems to a global state-of-the-art S/4 system and creating new apps with SAP BPT where S/4 does not fit.

    This program is named BOLD – Back Office Louis Dreyfus. This ambitious project aims to streamline our processes, enhance productivity, and position us for continued success in the dynamic agricultural landscape.

    This program requires Project Managers to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. This role will also maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets, monitoring progress and managing risks effectively while working closely with our implementation partners.

    There are built-in growth opportunities in this role, branching into product or program management.

    Role Overview: 

    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead back-office modernization projects. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in orchestrating the transition to the S/4 system, leveraging their expertise in SAP implementation and project management to ensure seamless execution and maximum impact.

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Lead the end-to-end implementation of new BTP apps or smaller rollouts of our CORE model, from pre-scoping to planning and design to execution and optimization.
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets, monitoring progress and managing risks effectively.
    • Coordinate with external vendors and consultants as necessary, ensuring quality deliverables and adherence to project milestones.
    • Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
    • Communicate project updates, status reports, and key insights to stakeholders at all levels, facilitating transparency and alignment throughout the organization.

    Sizing & Context: 

    • Projects that run between 6 and 12 months
    • 15+ project team members
    • International projects with members in France, Bulgaria, and India mostly

    Hard Skills 

    • Strong understanding of back-office processes, experienced with specific expertise in accounting, inventory management, and tax compliance.

    Soft Skills 

    • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a results-oriented mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
    • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Handle many medium and long-term tasks.
    • The ability to learn fast and adapt to new solutions.

    Experience 

    • Good experience (5+ years) in project management, with a proven track record of successfully leading projects in complex organizational environments.

    Optional 

    • Previous experience in the agriculture industry is highly desirable, with a deep understanding of sector-specific challenges and opportunities.
    • Experience with SAP projects.
    • Some experience with BTP architecture and what BTP can offer as solutions.

    Languages

    • English (Fluent)

    Education 

    • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a related field

    Additional 

    • The job will be in Sofia, Bulgaria at Louis Dreyfus Company offices.
    • You will report to a manager in Lyon, France.
    • A few international travels might be required in the frame of the mission.
