    Role overview:

    We’re looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Team Lead to own and evolve reliability as we scale from a fast-moving startup into a larger organization.

    This role is about balance:

    • Balancing hands-on technical leadership with lightweight structure and process
    • Integrating clear operational standards without losing startup speed, autonomy, and ownership
    • Leading reliability efforts while enabling teams to ship confidently and fast

    You’ll lead the SRE function end-to-end — shaping reliability strategy, mentoring engineers, improving systems, and ensuring production stays healthy as complexity grows.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Act as a hands-on technical leader, contributing directly to reliability, automation, and infrastructure work
    • Ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and security of production systems
    • Drive improvements in system resilience, deployment safety, and observability
    • Reduce operational load through automation, tooling, and better system design
    • Use incidents, metrics, and operational data to guide prioritization
    • Software maintenance, security updates, upgrades, and configuration management
    • Lead major incident coordination and ensure fast, effective resolution and postmortem analysis
    • Lead, mentor, and grow the SRE team as the company scales
    • Promote active knowledge sharing and collective ownership

    Technical Environment

    You’ll work hands-on with a modern, production-critical stack, including:

    • Cloud infrastructure

    • Containerization & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes

    • IaC & automation: Terraform, Ansible, configuration management tools

    • CI/CD: GitLab and automated deployment pipelines

    • Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, and similar monitoring tools

    • Operating systems & networking: Linux

    • Datastores & messaging: MySQL, Kafka, Redis

     

    This role is right for you if you are:
