Software Asset Management Expert

KPMG IT Service OOD is an IT service provider with a mission to digitalize the core business of KPMG IT Service GmbH and KPMG AG in Germany and their clients across the globe. We employ around 200 people in Sofia and deliver the full spectrum of IT services to our clients, including Software Engineering, Application & Platform Operations, Cloud and Infrastructure and Digital Process Compliance.

The role:

We are looking for a Software Asset Management Expert to join KPMG IT Service OOD Digital Process Compliance team. In this role, you will be responsible for tracking, managing, and optimizing software assets within clients’ organizations. This role ensures accurate inventory, compliance with licensing agreements, and cost-effective asset utilization. You will collaborate with leadership and technical teams to maintain data integrity and support strategic decision-making to support clients’ environments.

As a Software Asset Management Expert, you will focus on:

• Maintaining and updating the IT asset inventory, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Evaluating license terms and conditions
• Monitoring asset lifecycle stages: procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal
• Reporting on compliance with software licensing agreements
• Conducting regular license usage assessments
• Collaborating with stakeholders in asset acquisition and renewals
• Generating reports and dashboards to provide insights into asset utilization, optimization, disposition
• Assisting in forecasting asset needs and budgeting for software
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation in asset management

What you bring in:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
• 2+ years of SAM experience with any of the following products VMWare, Microsoft, Oracle, RedHat or with SAM Tools: Flexera and ServiceNow
• Strong understanding of software licensing models and metrics
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Fluent in English
• Knowledge of German is a plus
