SAP Finance Control Consultant

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Business Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with finance and business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements for controlling processes.
• System Design and Configuration: Design and configure SAP CO modules to meet specific business needs. This includes setting up cost centers, profit centers, internal orders, product costing, and profitability analysis (COPA).
• Implementation & Support: Lead or participate in end-to-end SAP implementation projects (including S/4HANA transformations), manage data migration, and provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for system issues.
• Integration: Ensure seamless integration between the CO module and other SAP modules such as Financial Accounting (FI), Materials Management (MM), Production Planning (PP), and Sales & Distribution (SD).
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans (unit testing, integration testing, UAT) to ensure solutions are effective and meet business requirements.
• Reporting and Analysis: Configure the system to support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis. Develop complex reports and dashboards to provide management with cost visibility and margin analysis.
• Documentation and Training: Create functional design specifications, technical documentation, and user manuals. Conduct training sessions and provide ongoing support to end-users.
• Compliance: Ensure that all financial data and system usage comply with relevant regulations and internal controls (e.g., SOX compliance).

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field is typically required.
• Experience: Generally, a minimum of 10+ years of experience in SAP FI & CO module implementation and support is preferred, with senior roles requiring 10+ years.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong, hands-on knowledge of core SAP FI & CO components:
• Cost Center Accounting (CCA)
• Profit Center Accounting (PCA)
• Product Cost Controlling (COPC), including standard and actual costing and material ledger
• Profitability Analysis (COPA) / Margin Analysis (in S/4HANA)
• Internal Orders and Project Systems (PS)
• S/4HANA Expertise: Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance and Central Finance (CFIN) is required.

• Certifications: SAP certifications in the finance and Controlling module or S/4HANA Finance.
