About the Role
We are looking for a motivated L2 Network Engineer to join our Operational Support team. In this role, you will be responsible for day-to-day network operations, monitoring, and incident handling, ensuring stability and performance across enterprise network environments.
You will work closely with L3 engineers, escalating complex issues with proper analysis, while gradually building deeper technical expertise.
Experience Requirements
• 4–7 years of hands-on experience in Network Operations or Delivery
• Strong exposure to enterprise LAN, WAN, and Wireless technologies
• Hands-on experience with Cisco switching and wireless environments
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, CheckMK, or similar)
• Working experience with Cisco ISE (user authentication / access issues)
• Experience with wireless management tools (Cisco Prime / Cisco DNA Center)
• Basic experience with IPAM, DHCP, and DNS administration and troubleshooting
Core Responsibilities
Network Operations & Monitoring
• Monitor network health and respond to alerts using enterprise monitoring tools
• Perform initial troubleshooting and restore service for standard incidents
• Ensure stability and availability of network infrastructure
• Proactively identify potential issues and prevent service degradation
Incident, Request & Change Handling
• Handle incidents, service requests, and standard changes, including L1 escalations
• Perform structured troubleshooting before escalating issues to L3
• Maintain proper ticket updates and ensure SLA compliance
• Support and execute approved change activities under defined procedures
Troubleshooting & Escalation
• Troubleshoot issues across LAN, WAN, and Wireless environments
• Identify when escalation is required and provide clear technical analysis to L3
• Coordinate with vendors and TAC for issue resolution when required
Wireless & Access Control
• Support enterprise wireless environments (Cisco WLC-based)
• Assist in resolving user authentication issues via Cisco ISE (802.1X)
Documentation & Process
• Create and maintain technical documentation and SOPs
• Contribute to improving operational procedures and knowledge base
• Follow defined processes for incident, change, and problem management

• Strong troubleshooting mindset with willingness to learn and grow
• Ability to clearly document and communicate technical issues to L3 engineers and stakeholders
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Proactive attitude and ownership of assigned tasks
Nice to Have
• Familiarity with Cisco DNA Center
• Experience in multi-site or enterprise environments
• Exposure to F5 BIG-IP or similar load balancing platforms
• Exposure to network automation (Python / Ansible)
Certifications
• CCNA (Required)
• CCNP or equivalent certification is considered a strong advantage
• Working towards CCNP is highly encouraged
