Experienced Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect/Engineer to design and implement our data lakehouse on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), leveraging technologies such as BigQuery and Databricks. This role involves working closely with various teams to ensure our data architecture supports our analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence needs.

Your challenges will be:

Design, implement, and manage a scalable and robust data lakehouse architecture on GCP (preferably to have experience with GCP or another major cloud technology)

Leverage BigQuery and Databricks for data processing, storage, and analytics.

Develop data models and database designs to support analytics and reporting requirements.

Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across all data assets.

Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to define data requirements and solutions.

Implement good practices for data governance, data management, and data integration.

Optimize data pipelines and workflows for performance and cost-efficiency.

Stay updated with the latest data technologies and trends, and recommend improvements.

Your Preferred Profile:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fieldvor experience.

Proven experience as a Data Engineer or Data Architect or similar role.

Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, and Databricks.

Strong knowledge of data modeling, database design, and data warehousing concepts.

Experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools.

Proficiency in SQL and other data query languages.

UML Data Modelling experience

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications (advantages):

Certifications in GCP or related data technologies is a plus

Experience with machine learning and data science projects is a plus

Familiarity with data governance frameworks and practices is a plus
