Senior Full Stack Engineer (Angular and Node.js)

Responsibilities

• Design and develop RESTful web APIs using Angular and Node.js
• Maintain and optimize existing PostgresQL and MySQL relational databases
• Write database migrations to adapt schemas over time
• Manage backend microservice deployments to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) / App Engine
• Develop intuitive and engaging user interfaces using modern frontend techniques and tooling
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers to implement advanced Angular applications
• Ensure high performance and low-latency APIs and database queries
• Support multiple projects concurrently while adhering to tight deadlines
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding project status and deliverables

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Angular and Node.js development
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with a strong foundation in frontend and backend development
• Familiarity with Google Cloud technologies, such as App Engine and GCP storage options (e.g., Google Cloud Datastore, Google Cloud SQL)
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgresQL, MySQL) and proficiency in writing SQL queries
• Knowledge of RESTful API design principles and experience in designing and implementing APIs
• Bonus points for familiarity with Sequelize ORM and/or Python
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
