    emerchantpay is a leading global payment service provider for online, in-app, and in-store payments. Our global payments solution is available through a simple integration, offering a wealth of features, including global acquiring, alternative payment methods, fraud, and risk management, card issuing, an in-house eWallet solution, and performance optimization.

    We are looking for a Technical Lead with experience in Ruby and Rails. Previous experience leading a team as a technical/team manager required.


    • Technically lead a team of highly skilled professionals
    • Design and implement solution components according to technology best practices
    • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to clarify scope and assignment
    • Help with the initial work breakdown structure and estimations
    • Provide mentorship and code reviews to team members
    • Participate in troubleshooting and technical analyses to improve performance and availability
    • Proactively identify potential improvements, lead their implementation
    • Review the quality of all deliverables: code, tests, documentation
    • Take part in scaling highly available payment services (99.99% uptime)


    • 10+ years development experience
    • 2+ years leading a team as a technical and/or team manager (5 to 10 people)
    • 3-4+ years using Ruby and Ruby on Rails
    • Advanced database experience with MySQL and/or PostgreSQL
    • Experience with JavaScript
    • Comfortable with TDD/BDD practices, Rspec
    • Self-starter, taking ownership, passionate about high quality software systems
    • Fluent English, both written and verbal
    • Enthusiastic, hard-working, motivated person with excellent communication skills and a sense of humor.

    • Experience with RabbitMQ
    • Experience with GraphQL
    • Web security knowledge
    • Experience with Docker and containerized workloads
    • Experience with AWS, Terraform, and Ansible
    • Previous experience in the payment industry
